Date Night

Grandma was playing guitar hero with Bret & LoLo when we got back from the show. . .

Lily slept while we were gone. . .

Tonight PawPaw, Grandma, & Nana came over to babysit while we went out to dinner & a show with Mike & Al. We saw Cirque Dreams Jungle Fantasy at the Music Hall (my valentine's present from Matt). It was very entertaining! I have wanted to see one of those shows for a long time & its something we never get around to when we're in Vegas.

Baby Shower

Yesterday we met the girls (Ollie, Pam, Theresa, Moss, & Opal) for lunch at Abuelo's in Zona Rosa and they threw a little surprise baby shower for Lily. They brought balloons & cake & some very nice gifts for Lily (and Ali). We had a great time visiting & talking about old times. I worked last night and Matt spent his first night alone with the kids. He got them both to bed without much trouble. . .they were all in bed together when I got home this morning.

Today Ali went to gymnastics with daddy. . .Aunt Susan dropped by to see the girls. . .Aunt Susan is Ali's new best friend. . .tonight Ali, daddy, & Uncle Demian watched Illinois basketball while I ran to the store and the gym. . .

We added another babysitter to our list today: cousin Josh! He came to the rescue today for us because Matt worked ovetime & I had an appointment. Things went smoothly for him. This afternoon Brent stopped by to see the kids. Ali had a fun time with him.

I went back to work Saturday & Sunday. . .Grandma came up for the week-end to help Matt with the kids. Sunday evening while I was at work, Ali started running a fever (again)! Matt had to work today so when I got off work I took Ali to the doctor and sure enough she has another ear infection. I finally made it to bed & Aunt Susan came over and hung out with Grandma & the kids which was a big help! Tonight Aunt Al & the kids are visiting, we're playing and painting finger & toenails. Ali loves her fingernail polish from Aunt Susan. She loves it so much she has slept with it the last 2 nights!

Ali & Lily both were up at 4am (and me). Matt had to work today. At some point during the night we were all 4 sleeping in the same bed! Aunt Susan came by again this afternoon to babysit the girls while I went to the gym. Ali could not wait for her to get here. She brought some gifts from her mom. . .a new leotard for Ali & matching summer outfits for Ali & Lily. They are adorable. Aunt Susan also painted Ali's fingernails & toenails. . .very cute but Ali refuses to stand still & let me take a picture. Lily is smiling a lot these days and starting to coo. She is also a eating machine! She must be going through a growth spurt.

Aunt Susan came over & babysat Lily while I took Ali to gymnastics (Matt is working until 5 today). Ali is really improving at gymnastics. . .Aunt Susan stayed and played with Ali. . .she brought her a book & some stickers & Ali really enjoyed that!
