Roller Skates

Last night we had Ali watch part of her new video, Elmo's Potty Time. She was not interested at all and does not seem anywhere close to being potty trained. She did sit on her potty with her pants on, on top of the coffee table.

Today daddy took Ali to AJ's birthday party. They went roller skating. As you can see, Ali had her own skates. She only fell a few times.

Up early

Yesterday was a busy day for us. . .daddy was at work and Paw Paw & Grandma came over to visit. We went shopping. We got fabric for the curtains in Ali's room (grandma is going to make them). Then last night Ali & I went to Bret's cello concert. The kids wore their Halloween costumes for the program. Ali loved the music. She was bouncing up and down and yelling "Yeah!" during the concert. I did not have my camera but Alice did & she is going to send me some pictures to post. Here's a picture from this morning. Ali woke up at 5am! She was wide awake & in a good mood, but she fell asleep with me on the couch before daddy got home from work.

What the. . .?

Top pic. . .this is what Ali did while daddy was taking out the trash. She climbed up onto the piano & the hung onto the rails above. I was sleeping today (worked last night) & Matt looked totally frazzled when I got up. Ali refused to take a nap today and the house is in shambles. She also climbed out of her crib. .again! She did that for the first time the other day. She is definitely almost 2.

Lazy Sunday

Today was a lazy day. Daddy watched football over at Mike's (Bear's won) and Ali & I hung out. The pictures: Ali wearing daddy's shoes; kissing daddy; refusing to share her Cheeto's with Marcus; dog and dog (her 2 favorites, their names are really dog and dog); then tonight with daddy.

Obama 08

Tonight we went to the Obama rally in KC at the Liberty memorial. Me, Al, Zach, Brent, Bret, & Ali drove down early & Matt met us there. It was a huge crowd and a historic moment we did not want to miss. Ali was GREAT! She spent most of the time in her stroller just checking out the enormous crowd. They estimated 75,000 people. Bret watched from the top of the fire truck & daddy took Ali down to the fire truck, too, to show her off to his fireman buddies. Walking back to the car, Brent carried Ali & she fell asleep in his arms. It was a great day!

Uncle Demian came over Thursday night to help unload Ali's new furniture. We still don't have it all put together yet, but it is going to be very cute. We had her new room painted pink which looks really nice with this furniture.
